Welcome to Hayley Webster Class!

Our theme for class names this year was authors and we chose Hayley Webster. We've been reading her book 'The After School Crime Club' which is all about a girl called Willow and her struggles to fit in.

Autumn Term

This term, our topic is 'The Victorians'. We have been learning all about famous people and events during this time, including the Industrial Revolution and the inventions of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, what life was like for children during this time and the achievements of Dr Barnardo and Lord Shaftesbury. We even got to travel from Bishop's Lydeard to Minehead on the West Somerset Railway, to experience first-hand what travel by steam train is like.
