Happy Christmas!

Welcome to our class: Aurora Borealis Class.
After researching some of the wonders of our world, we have decided to be called the Aurora Borealis Class. We have been finding out all about this and have completed an individual piece of artwork, which is now on our class display. Here are some pictures:

Autumn Term 2.
In our Topic lessons, we have been finding out about key events that happened in WW2, such as "Operation Dynamo" and VE Day. We worked in groups to research our topic and then produced a poster, before presenting it to the rest of the class. Here are some of us giving our presentations:

Spiral Art using LOGO.
Gathering Ideas for our Portal Stories.

Odd Socks Day.
As part of Anti-Bullying Week, we wore odd socks to celebrate how unique we all are.

Anderson Shelter Models.
After learning about Anderson Shelters and the Blitz, we all made a model of one. Here we all are being creative:

Evacuees in WW2.
We have been finding out about what life was like for children living during WW2. We wrote a letter home and some of us dressed up as an evacuee.

Black History Month October 2020.
This year, we have been finding out all about Mae Jemison, who was the first black woman to go to space and to join NASA. Here are two of our best posters.

Welcome to Year 6!
Hello everyone. I am really looking forward to welcoming you all back into school after such a long break. I hope you are all looking forward to returning to school and catching up with all your friends again. I can't wait to get to know you and find out about what you've been getting up to over the longest summer holiday ever.
We start off learning about World War 2 in our Topic lessons and there will be lots of other interesting things to look forward to in Year 6 as well.
Have fun and I'll see you soon!
Mrs Turner.
