Year 3 – Mrs Moseley
Dear Parents and Carers,
Here is our Topic web for this Spring Term 2021.
This is another busy term for us at Somerset Bridge, whether your child is working from home or in school. Reading at home is vitally important to your child – some form of reading with them every day will make a difference to their attainment at school. PE lessons will take place with Mr Birch in school and, for those who are at home, there is a link on the weekly timetable.
Please do not hesitate to contact me on the LKS2 email address if you have any questions.

Thank you for your continued support during this period of lockdown.
Kind regards,
Mrs Moseley

Dear North Pole class,
Miss Anderson and I are working really hard to prepare some work for you during the national lockdown, including meetings on Google Classrooms instead of Zoom as we have done previously. You can find the meet link on your Google classroom stream – this link will not change, and you can use it whenever we have a meeting scheduled. It will look like this at the top of the page:
We have prepared a timetable for you to follow and attend the daily Google Meet meetings. It is really important you attend these meetings where we will be taking a daily register.
As before, you can use the following link on the school webpage, which will provide lots of other amazing links and activities for you to work on, if you need some more support.
We are both well and hope that you and your families keep safe during this period of quarantine.

Dear North Pole class, Friday 4th December 2020
We will get through this period of quarantine again! You were all amazing last time and we need to be just as brilliant this time. Miss Anderson and I are working hard today to prepare some work for you for the next couple of weeks. We will be having Zoom meetings twice a day at set times each day to help support your learning. The timetable for this week and next week will be posted on this page as soon as we can.
We are really looking forward to seeing you in our twice daily Zoom meetings. Keep an eye on our class page on the school website. You will find lots of information about the work we will be doing each week in the sub-folders.
While you are waiting for this support to be put into place, you can use the following link.
This link will take you to a different area of our website that provides lots of other amazing links and activities for you to work on.

Reading at Home
Until we start sending books home again, we would just like to remind you that you can still read from your own bookshelves, or if you are a member of Somerset Libraries, they are lending books again.
For those of you who are desperately wanting to read at your own level, you can find out AR levels at https://www.arbookfind.co.uk/default.aspx.
There are some books on https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/ which are levelled. There is a list below of some books on Oxford Owl in your range. To sign in, please click the picture and use the following

Welcome back!
Hello everyone in Y3.
I hope you have had a super holiday and enjoyed some of the fantastic weather we had. I am really looking forward to seeing you on Monday 7th September. When you get into the cloakroom, you will find your name above a peg for you to put your coat on. Please put your lunch box in the plastic box under the bench. In your classroom, you will see many things that you recognise like a visual timetable, the days of the week, birthday candles and there will be a drawer with your name on it.
Ms Partner and Miss Harrison are the other adults working in our class and I know they are looking forward to seeing you again too. I have included a few photographs for you to see your new classroom.
See you on Monday!
Mrs Moseley
