Year 3 – Miss Anderson

Monday 5th October 2020

Dear Amazon class,

Mrs Moseley and I are working really hard today to prepare some work for you for the next couple of weeks, including Zoom meetings at set times each day to help support your ongoing learning.

We are both well and hope that you and your families keep safe safe during this period of quarantine.

We are really looking forward to seeing you in our thrice-daily Zoom meetings. Keep an eye on our class page on the school website. You will find lots of information about the work we will be doing each week in the sub-folders.

While you are waiting for this support to be put into place, you can use the following link.

This link will take you to a different area of our website that provides lots of other amazing links and activities for you to work on.

Reading at Home

Until we start sending books home again, we would just like to remind you that you can still read from your own bookshelves, or if you are a member of Somerset Libraries, they are lending books again.

For those of you who are desperately wanting to read at your own level, you can find out AR levels of your home books (if they have them) at https://www.arbookfind.co.uk/default.aspx.

There are some books on https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/ which are levelled. There is a list below of some books on Oxford Owl in your range. To sign in, please click the picture  and use the following

Welcome Back!

Hello everyone in Y3.

I hope you have had a super holiday and enjoyed some of the fantastic weather we had - even the thunderstorms!  I am really looking forward to seeing you on Monday 7th September.

When you get into the cloakroom, you will find your name above a peg for you to put your coat on.  Please put your lunch box in the plastic box.  In your new classroom, you will see many things that you recognise like a visual timetable, the days of the week, birthday candles and there will be a drawer with your name on it.

Miss Gibbs is the other adult working in our class and I know she is looking forward to seeing you again too.

See you on Monday!

Miss Anderson
