Breakfast and After School Club (BACS)
Our Breakfast and After School Clubs are run by Somerset Bridge Nursery and operate during the term time only.
The clubs are managed by the Nursery Managers (Natasha Rook and Hayley Hart) and are run on a day-to-day basis by our Breakfast and After School Club Leaders and their teams.
All staff members are DBS checked and have training in food hygiene.
Breakfast Club (paid)
8:00am - 8:45am
The children are offered a nutritious breakfast including; wholemeal toast, yoghurt, cereal and fresh fruit. All food offered are compliant with School Food Standards.
There are also be enrichment activities on offer, such as; outdoor play, colouring, reading, board games and Lego
All the children then join their classes at 8:45am, for the start of the school day.
From September 2026, the session time will change to 7:45am - 8:15am.
At 8:15am all the children at Breakfast Club will be taken to the school hall, where they will be served breakfast.
At 8:45am they will join their classes for the start of the school day.
Breakfast Club (free)
The Government have launched a free breakfast club programme across primary schools. It enables all children to get a free breakfast every morning, so that they start each day ready to learn.
From the 7th September 2026, Somerset Bridge Primary School will be delivering a 30 minute free breakfast club, that will run from 8:15am – 8:45am in the school hall.
It will be available to all children from reception to year 6 and it will be free of charge.
If you would like your child to attend, you can pre-book them a place via the Clubs tab on your MCAS App.

After School Club (paid)
There are 3x session times available:
3:15pm - 4:15pm
3:15pm - 5:00pm
3:15pm - 6:00pm
Children are collected from their classes at the end of the school day by the After School Club team and taken to the nursery.
Activities are varied and include; play dough, painting, movies, board games and outdoor play.
A light snack is provided for those staying later than 4.15pm. Snacks include beans on toast, wraps, crackers, pizza and soup, with milk or water to drink.
All allergies and dietary requirements are catered for.
Fees
The current fees are:
£3.50 - Breakfast Club (reducing to £2.00 in September 2026)
£3.50 - After School Club until 4:15pm (increasing to £4.00 in September 2026)
£5.50 - After School Club until 5:00pm (increasing to £6.50 in September 2026)
£7.00 - After School Club until 6:00pm (increasing to £8.00 in September 2026)
If a child is booked into Breakfast Club and After School Club (until 6pm) on the same day, they will pay a reduced rate of £9.50.
Siblings will receive a 10% discount.
Invoices are produced on a monthly basis.
