Leopards Class E - Cadets

Our class e-cadets have been working particularly hard over the last term, as have all the e-cadets across the school.  Recently we had Internet Safety Week.  Here is a picture of our e-cadets in front of our new class acceptable use policy.

Literacy Focus - Spring half term

We have been looking at stories under the 'Lost and Found' theme over the last couple of weeks.  These are books where a character looses something and then it is found.  The Something by Rebecca Cobb has helped us to write our own stories in this style.  We have particularly been focusing on using similies and a thesaurus to make our adjectives more powerful.

Lego Mindstorms

This half term Leopards class have been really lucky to have access to the Lego Mindstorm resources.  So far we have worked brilliantly in teams to follow the instructions and build our robots.

Bridgwater Museum

On Thursday 17th November we had some visitors from the Bridgwater Museum.  They taught the pupils all about the Battle of Sedgemoor and the children got to hold replica Civil War weaponry.  This build up to the children re-enacting The Bloody Assizes with Judge Jeffries who sent Mrs Bell and Mrs Moseley to PRISON!!!

Black History Month

During the month of October we celebrated Black History Month.  We learnt about famous Black people throughout history and what they achieved.  The children used the computers to research but we had the most fun learning through role play.  Nelson Mandela, Martin-Luther-King and Rosa Parks were the main people we learnt about.
