Miss Woodhead – Donaldson Class
Home Learning Update
Dear Parents/Carers,
As some children will be returning to school on June 2nd, the way home learning is being provided will be changing due to most staff working with children in school.
Home learning projects will continue to be uploaded to the school website on a weekly basis and will now be for specific key stages, rather than year groups: Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) and Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6).
Instead of logging onto a specific class page to access the home learning, you will now need to go to the Children menu on the website – Home Learning Projects and select the relevant key stage for your child.
We will continue to use the key stage email addresses, but these may not be answered from your child’s teacher. The following teachers will respond to the emails:
Reception and Year 1 and 2 - Miss White
Year 3 and 4 - Mrs Palmer (Mr Staveley will continue to respond to any Nightingale emails)
Year 5 and 6 - Mr Staveley
It has been lovely to receive some of the children’s work, but we now ask that the home learning email addresses are no longer used for sending in children’s work. The named teachers will be available only for questions regarding the work set.
Thank you for continuing to support you child/children with their home learning.
Many thanks
Spot the staff babies
It's half term so we thought you might like a fun activity to do. In the first attached document you will see pictures of 29 of our staff as babies. In the second document you will see the names of the staff. Can you match the names to the correct staff pictures? Look back here on Friday 29th May to check how many you got right. Good luck!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. As it is the half term holiday from Monday 25th May to Friday 31st May we will not be having a class zoom meeting on Monday 25th. There will also be no new home learning onto our class page. Enjoy some quality time with your family and hopefully you can all enjoy the sunshine! Stay safe and have fun!
Sending lots of smiles,

Hi Donaldson class! I hope you are all well and had an amazing week last week. I have LOVED getting your emails and seeing what you have been up to. Make sure you keep them coming in and at the end of this week I will update the class page with some more fabulous learning!
Last week was a bit of a strange week for me, I had to say goodbye to my Granddad We had a lovely service for him and it was broadcast all over the world so that all of our friends and family could watch it! I spent the week focusing on myself. I have done lots of reading, I have been on lots of walks with Finn, I have been doing lots of exercise and now I ache all over!! I made a salted caramel cheesecake which was very yummy, it didn't last very long as my Mummy, Daddy, Brother and Jack have all been eating it! Oh and of course I recorded another video for our YouTube channel, so don't forget to watch that!
I hope that even with all the rain we are meant to have this week, that you have an amazing week! I look forward to reading your emails and seeing what you get up to this week. Keep smiling and stay safe.

Easter Update
Hi Donaldson Class! I hope you are all well and you have had a lovely Easter. I thought I would give you a quick update on what I have been up to over the past few weeks As the weather has been so lovely myself, Finn and Jack have been on lots of adventures, lots of walks and bike rides! It has been lovely to get out and enjoy the sunshine whilst on our daily exercise. I think Finn is enjoying having me at home to give him lots of cuddles and loads of playtime in the garden! Jack and I cut up lots of wood that we had in the garden and decided to have a nice toasty fire with it which was wonderful, but the chopping of the wood was rather hard!! We even cooked some baked beans, sausages and jacket potatoes on our fire which was a lot of fun
I have added some photos below for you to have a look at too
I am missing you all lots.

Welcome to Donaldson's class page! :)
We are named after Julia Donaldson who is one of our favourite authors in Reception. Julia Donaldson has written 204 books, which we think is amazing! Julia Donaldson has said that she finds writing quite hard work and she often gets stuck but keeps going and doesn't give up. We think Julia is very inspirational and we hope that this year we can keep going even if we find something a bit tricky! :)
Autumn Term
We have had a brilliant Autumn term in Donaldson class! We have been getting to know each other and building lots of friendships, exploring numbers in different ways, learning our sounds and even starting to write some wonderful words and sentences!
Have a look at the fun we've been having!
Christmas Nativity
I think everyone will agree that the children were amazing during our Nativity. It was such a pleasure to be a part of it and watch the children flourish The children loved having their family come to watch, so thank you!!
