Miss Constable - Shakespeare Class

Welcome to Shakespeare Class.

Bonjour!

In Autumn Term, Shakespeare class went on a trip to Blake school to learn some new languages. When we arrived, we were treated to a French breakfast and sorted into our groups for the morning. Then we went to different parts of the school, where we were taught lots of exciting languages by children from Blake. Some of the languages were were taught were: Russian, Afrikaans, Polish, Italian, Mandarin, Greek, German and Turkish!

Our Victorian School Day Experience

We used drama to explore the story of "A Christmas Carol"

In the Autumn term, we went to Blake for a Gym and Dance festival. We tried lots of gymnastics activities, including the trampolines.

Making wreaths as part of our Victorian Christmas topic

In the first Summer Term, Year 5 have been exploring our local environment as part of our "all about me" topic. We have used maps and field sketches to look at our school site and then we have learned about the life cycles of a variety of different animals.
We have used "i can animate" on the iPads to create stop motion animations. First we explored using different materials to create effects, and then we chose our favourite to create an animation showing the life cycle of a living thing.

In the summer term, year 5 went to Blake for a Strike and Field event. We practiced our skills in catching, throwing, fielding and hitting a ball, in games designed by Blake's sports leaders.
