Christiansen Class - Mrs Bell and Mrs Smith

Welcome to Christiansen Class!

We are Year 3, our teachers are Mrs Bell and Mrs Smith and Mrs Burdett.

We have called ourselves Christiansen Class after Ole Kirk Christiansen, the inventor of LEGO! Please see the attached Powerpoint for more information on our Inventor.

Mummification

This week we have been looking at the process of Mummification and the reasons why Ancient Egyptians did it.  We created our own mummies!

Trip to the Eden Project

Year 3 and 4 all had a wonderful day out at the Eden Project learning all about Puzzling Plants! We brought back a plant for the class which is a Sensitive Plant, a Mimosa Pudica and here are a few pictures to let you know what we all got up to!

Brick and Tile Museum

 

We went on a lovely visit to the Brick and Tile Museum and had lots of fun making our own tiles and learning about the Brick and Tile Industry in Bridgwater.

LEGO MINDSTORMS

 

This week we have been building LEGO robots and using the IPad App to programme and move them. It has been great fun!
