Spring Term 2018.
We have now finished our swimming lessons at Burnham-On-Sea swimming pool, which we have really enjoyed. We all made great progress and most of us managed to swim 25m by the end of it, which was a brilliant achievement for those of us who couldn't do this at the start of the sessions. After our last lesson, we all went to look at the seafront and beach as it was a beautiful day.
On the 6th December, we went to a STEM (Science Engineering Technology and Maths) Festival at Bridgwater College, where we discovered what exciting engineering jobs we could do in the future. Here are some of the activities we took part in:
The theme this year for Children In Need was: "All different; all equal". On Monday 13th we had "Odd Socks" day and here is a photo of those who took part. We have also been talking about "Anti-bullying Week" and have been practising the song "Refuge" to sing in an assembly.
We had a brilliant time exploring Lydford Gorge and looking at all the river features and landforms at this beautiful location. We completed a 3 mile circular walk and had a picnic at While Lady Falls.
Welcome to Pichon Class!
We have all made an excellent start to Year 6 and have come back to school ready to face any new challenges. This year we are the Pichon class after we voted to have Liz Pichon as our class author as so many of us enjoy reading her Tom Gates series of books. Here is a collage that we produced when we did some artwork inspired by the illustrations in her books.
High Ropes and Kayaking Day.
These photos show how much fun we had! (And how wet we got!).
