We have had lots of fun this half term as you'll see from our photographs of Sports Day and the trip we took to the Tropiquaria. I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by and that very soon your children will be moving on into Year 1!
Sports day fun and games
The Big Truck - We were very interested in the enormous truck which came to school this week! It was helping us to learn all about how to stay safe on the busy roads. The men talked to us about how it is so difficult to see children when the driver is very high up.
As you'll see from our photos Miss Webber even sat in the driver's seat!
We all looked super sporty today when we came to school in our sporty clothes! Not only did we look great but we helped to raise money for lots of good causes.
World Book Day
We all had a great time on World Book Day. The children really enjoyed dressing up in their costumes and joining the whole school in assembly to see how silly all of the teachers looked!
Spring 1 - 'Jack and the Beanstalk'
This half term we have been having lots of fun learning our new story 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. Not only have we learnt all of the words and actions for this exciting story but we have also performed it to all of the children in our Key Stage 1 assembly. I think from talking to parents that lots of children have told the story to their families at home too!
'Starting Out' - a fun time had by all!
The'Starting Out bags are flying out of the classroom at the moment with the children who attended our meeting in February. If you haven't been invited to a 'Starting Out' meeting yet then do not worry as you will be invited to one soon! The children in the photos enjoyed playing with the contents of the Starting Out bags with their parents at our meeting and then they chose one of the 15 bags to take to play with at home.
We have really enjoyed performing the Nativity with Mrs Robinson's children. I hope you had the opportunity to come to see your child on stage. May I take this opportunity to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
It's panto season!
'Oh no it isn't! Oh yes it is!' The children really enjoyed watching Aladdin yesterday. They sat quietly but also joined in enthusiastically at all the right times!! It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
Children in Need
We have all enjoyed not wearing our school uniforms today.
Autumn 1 2017
Welcome to school!
What a successful first couple of weeks we have had. Your children are really enjoying finding out all about school. As you can see from the photographs they have had very busy days packed full of new learning experiences. Thank you for supporting their learning by reading and signing their home to school books. Please feel free to pop into school at the end of any day to have a look at their new classroom and ask me any questions you may have.
