Sports Day 2018 The children enjoyed participating in all the events and tried very hard to win merits for their different houses.
We have been studying the artist Arcimboldo. The children have been making sculptures in the same style using fruit and vegetables.
Road Safety Talk. The children have been learning about the importance of road safety and learned about crossing a road safely.
Trip to We The Curious 19.03.2018 The Children really enjoyed exploring the different exhibits at the museum and learning more about the world around them.
World Book Day 2018 There was such a mix of creative costumes and props. We have enjoyed looking at our class author Oliver Jeffers and meeting sharing stories with children from Year 4.
Mar 2018 Snow Day!! The children were amazed to see our playground covered in snow!
Born in a Barn Christmas nativity - we were so proud of how hard the children worked and i'm sure you'll agree that they put on a great show.

14.11.2017 Art Day - we had a smashing day learning different art techniques. Paint blowing, bubble painting and researching the work of the artist Kandinsky. The whole day finished with the children painting with their hands and feet on a very large piece of paper. What fun!
18.10.2017 In Science this week we investigated the properties of different materials that would be suitable for a roof. Unfortunately, lego Mr Ryder did get a bit wet!
16.10.2017 Carnival crowns. This week we had a visitor called Simon who came and helped the children make carnival crowns ready for the carnival this year.
In English we have been looking at the story of Hairy Maclary and using drama to help us learn the story. In Computing the children have had loads of fun making maps for the BeeBot robots!
In the summer we looked at a range of children's authors and the children chose Oliver Jeffers as the author of which the class will be named. We worked together on a rocket ship from the Oliver Jeffers story 'How to Catch a Star'.
