Welcome to the Mini Police page.
Twenty children from Year 5 were proud to become Mini Police in September 2018. We had applied for the posts and were interviewed by PC Rob to get the role. Every Wednesday lunchtime we do our duties supporting children on the playgrounds in our school. After lunch, PCSO Ella (and sometimes PC Rob) spend the afternoon with us teaching us about the role of the Police in the community and how we can play our part in helping.
We had our launch event in October 2018 and the whole school got involved.
Our first project in the community has been litter picking. We did a presentation to the children in school and at Stockmoor Lodge Care Home about why litter is bad for the community. After that, we joined with the Eco-Warriors and did a litter pick around school. Some of the residents at Stockmoor Lodge said they would like to join us on the litter pick. Afterwards we went into the local shops to say hello and to tell them about what we were doing.
