Earhart Class - Miss Brinsley
In English we have been learning The Papaya that Spoke. As well as learning the text we also drew a papaya, felt a papaya and chopped it up and ate it. The story focused on repetition and dialogue.
In History we looked at a timeline from World War 1 until now. We learnt about 'rationing' and discussed how we would share it out.
We had great fun making different colour playdough. To understand some scientific words we have been learning we mixed, squashed, twisted and moulded the playdough.
We spent time with Pete the Poet looking at our schools values. We discussed cultural difference and the importance of not generalising people. We are all capable to achieve anything we want!
We decided to be called the Amelia Earhart class because she was hardworking, brave and not afraid of challenges.
