Davison Class - Miss McHugh

Hello and welcome to Davison class!

At the start of the year, we were given the challenge of choosing our class name based on people who changed the world. We talked about the Suffragettes, who fought for votes for women in Britain in the early twentieth century, and in particular, Emily Davison. She died after walking out in front of the King's racehorse at the 1913 Derby. We felt that her actions, and those of the Suffragettes, were really important in making sure women had the right to vote.

Crime Stoppers

We have been really lucky to have the Unique Voices team come to visit on Monday afternoons as part of our Crime Stoppers workshops. The children have loved taking part in fun games and drama-based activities where they are continuing to learn about keeping our communities safe.
